Except that in the case of the runway show, it actually did last only a few minutes." ] , [ "p", "On last Sunday, we ran our first runway show ever during the Hong Kong annual fashion week fair ("CentreStage"). The fair organisers set the stage up and hired the models but everything else was ours to design, source and prepare. That saved our show." , "Models - Don't trust their profile sheets. Confirm all measurements during fitting session(s), especially shoe sizes. Check whether they have tattoos and if their ears are pierced. They will represent you, they work hard and they are human beings: treat them with respect and thank them at the end." , "Order of appearance - With eight looks, the boldness progression we opted for was 3, 1, 1, 2, 4, 1, 1, 5 ( .m`um6m4m4m5m7m4m4m8m, ). That protected us from falling flat past the first look, and allowed us to close with a strong 'wow' effect." , "Soundtrack - Models walk fast. You will make yourself (and them) a favour by picking a track around 110bpm, long enough for the duration of the show. If you don't have a DJ friend, check SoundCloud and PremiumBeat." , "Background - Make sure it doesn't swallow your models. We opted for a colourful, busy slideshow that nicely contrasted our white and plain colour gowns. If the background is made of LCD screens, avoid gradients and plain colours: the former can cause glitches and the latter a moiré effect on photos and videos." , "Lights - Pay a special attention to entrance and exit areas: many photographers will be there and Photoshop cannot fix everything." , "Rehearsal - You will miss a lot of details. Put a phone with a wide angle lens on a tripod and film the whole thing." , "On the day - You will be backstage and see nothing.
