, [ "p", "Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure to organise and moderate a conversation on the topic of innovation management, with Manlee Chan (Chief Information Officer, PVH Asia-Pacific) along with our friends Anne-Laure Descours (Chief Sustainability and Sourcing Officer, Puma) and Lena Lim (Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Browzwear)." ]
, [ "p", "Together, we covered many aspects of digital transformation and talked about the challenges to be innovative in a large fashion organisation. Here is a summary of our discussion:" ]

, "There are two sides of innovation management: understanding the trends imposed to us from outside, and finding ways to adapt our organisations to these trends."
, "Asia is the place to be, because transformation speed here is far higher than in other regions."

, "The fashion market is particularly volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous. We are being hit by a storm of market changes and new international regulations, especially on the topic of sustainability. These powerful forces are as many reasons to think and act collaboratively as an industry and face these challenges together."
, "Asian tier one players (manufacturers and distributors) are massively investing to reduce waste and be more efficient. New traceability regulations will force us to have full upstream traceability including with tier two, tier three and tier four players (respectively fabrics, threads and raw material suppliers). Tighter industry integration is key to record and keep potentially thousands of data points for each single piece of garment."
, "Technology teams have a duty to help fulfil these market imperatives: develop the multi-dimensional frameworks that properly describe the problem statement; identify the right business performance indicators that will convince leadership; convince employees that embracing innovation saves time, improves their working conditions, and is a career accelerator."
, "Try & Fail is the key to learning and identifying successful innovations."
, "Tech people tend to think in technical terms, eg. Minimum Viable Product. The perspective of users is to get something that is Simple, Loveable and Complete. Without that qualitative perspective, adoption and innovation ROI are at risk."
